The insertion of very fine pins into specific points on the body in order to
correct imbalances in the body's bioenergetic flow. Acupuncture pins are much smaller in
diameter than the hypodermic needles people relate with and rarely cause the patient
pain. If pain is felt the pin is removed and a less sensitive site is chosen. Typically, the
patient will feel a tapping as I insert the pin and then a variety of sensations as I advance it
to its proper placement. The sensations may include heaviness, a spreading feeling or a
sensation of energy moving up and down from the point. |
